Safety Guidelines

  1. All volunteers must sign a release form. You cannot work on site unless you have completed a liability waiver.

  2. No one under the age of 16 permitted on site without parental or sponsor supervision.

  3. Hard hats must be worn when required by supervisor.

  4. No alcohol or drugs are permitted on job site.

  5. Be considerate – no verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated.

  6. Report all injuries to construction supervisor and make sure an accident form is filled out. Know where the first-aid kit is located and how to get emergency help.

  7. If you are uncertain about how to do a task, or how to operate a power tool – ask a supervisor.

  8. Think before you act! This is the best way to prevent accidents.

Tools

As you become more experienced on the job site you may want to start acquiring your own tools. These may include:

Hammer
Tool belt
Speed Square
Utility knife
Measuring Tape

And when you really become accomplished you may even want to bring your own cordless tools.
