What's New
Mesilla Valley Habitat for
Humanity is now using GoogleGroups to streamline communication with volunteers. To subscribe to our
email updates, use the box above.
December 1, 2008: Our holiday gift wrapping
fundraiser started this past weekend at Barnes & Noble in the Mesilla
Valley Mall. Please stop by to get your presents wrapped by our
volunteers 7 days a week, 10am-10pm. We may wrap gifts purchased
elsewhere, but B&N sales get first priority. Please bring your receipt
of any gifts to show us a proof of your purchase.
November 10, 2008: We are starting the framing of
our third build this week, which is two exits east of our other two, off
of Porter Dr.
October 31, 2008: The EXIT Realty Blitz build
went wonderfully this week! Our second house of the season is framed and
the trusses are standing. Thanks so much to the many volunteers who came
out, and to EXIT Realty's sponsorship.
October 10, 2008: Mesilla Valley Habitat
desperately needs weekday volunteers on the build site. To get involved,
please see the Volunteers page, or call
Kat at 993-0048.
October 4, 2008: Construction started on our
first house today. Check the Current Build
page to keep track of our build progress.
September 22, 2008: The Las Cruces Home Builders Association
has cancelled the Fallfest Auction, which was to be held for the benefit
of Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity on September 26th.
September 13, 2008: Today we broke ground on two
sites: 4221 Compas Road and 7573 Sierra Bella Place. Construction will begin
in October.
